Boyer was founded by brothers Bill and Bob Boyer who, needing to make a little more money, started making candy from their kitchen assisted by their mother and sister who carefully hand wrapped the finished candy. As popularity grew they expanded their lines and moved to a manufacturing unit. In 1936 they came up with the idea of covering whipped marshmallow in a chocolate cup and the candy cup was born!
